I'm Jessica Pryce and I won my first award in writing when I was 17; it was the Silver Garland Award in English Literature. I found it strange that I was being recognized and lauded for something that I genuinely loved. I did not know that writing would become such an integral part of my life, but it certainly has. In 2012, I published my first academic journal article. In 2013, I published my first book. In 2015, I published my doctoral dissertation. My next book will be released in March 2024, and it is being published by Harper Collins. I have also written manuscripts, grant proposals, and policy briefs. Additionally, I'm the guest editor for a special journal issue through the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (APSAC).
